Hon’ble Minister for Finance, Labour, Employment and Culture, Dr. Haseeb A. Drabu visited college on  valedictory function of Two Day National Seminar on “Commerce and Management Education under New Education Policy” organized jointly by the P.G. Department of Management Studies and the Department of Commerce. While addressing he emphasized for linking education to culture and the immediate socio-economic reality of our State & stressed for introduction of MBA in Horticulture, as the back bone of our economy is the horticulture which unfortunately has not attracted the attention of our academic Institutions.

The Honb'le MoS for Education, Information and Culture (J&K) Ms Priya Sethi along with Director Colleges Prof(Dr.) Tariq Ahmad Kawoos visited Islamia College of Science & Commerce on 20th of August 2015.The Honb'le Minister inspected various Departments of the College and interacted with staff and students. The Principal of College Prof(Dr) G M Tibet Bakal briefed the Honb'le Minister about the academic, administrative and other affairs of the College.
